Leaders or Followers, who is more important?

Leaders or Followers
Who is more important?

I think without a follower a leader can't exist. Followers are what makes a leader. The size of followers devouted to leadership determines the success of the leader. Who is more important, a leader or follower? In the same vein, without a leader followers cease to exist. Followers are guided by leadership procedures. That's by examples, in advise, counsel, actions, positive influence, sacrificial giving etc. From this view it seems both personalities are important. In that one can't exist without the other. They both depend largely on each other.
Looking back in history, great men who have walked the earth have shown us the true value of leadership through their positive influence which has great positive impact on humanity. The record still keeps ex-leaders Nelson Mandela, Mahatma Ghandi,Mary Slessor,Martin Luther King Jr,Sir Winston Churchill,Obafemi Awolowo and other great men. They are ex-leaders because they have shown us the true way of becoming a leader, practising true leadership and making of a leader from follower.

If these ex-leaders had no clear cut (non-selfish) vision the impact on followers would have worn off. They had the desire to affect the human generational cause and they lived by these codes (to ensure their hunger and drive are guided with right and moral patterns. If they had failed, they won't have practical followers today who are also charting a leadership cause.

My point is, if anyone fails as a follower such a fellow will fail in leadership. That is not far-fetched because, these days even a religious person will tell you "if I get to power I will take my share of the money too". Followers are getting misguided and misled and these is affecting the future. That is why, our present leaders are immoral in their judgement and decisions. Followers are very important and as well as leaders. We all have a part to play in the human race, if we fail the records won't fail to show it. True Leadership bears True followership.
